Pinion seal

One last question for the brain trust this evening. (maybe, no promises)

I'm looking at ordering a pinion seal to replace mine with. So actually 2 questions.

1. Is it better to get an OEM seal from the dealer or get one from the parts store?

2. If I'm getting one from the parts store do I need the 6.7" ring gear or the 8.25" ring gear? My runner is a 97 manual 4x4. I think I read that its the 6.7 but I can't find where I read that again.

I put 2 aftermarket seals in my sons truck and it still leaked. Bought a Toyota seal and no leak. OEM only when it comes to seals.
