I will never plastidip anything ever again lol.
Dipped my whole rig awhile back by myself, worth it until it starts looking like dog poop.
What's the play then? Wrap? And which rack is that, looks sick?!

I had my fenders, front, and mirrors plastidipped, but eventually got it painted. Getting a perfect line is hard to get with plastidip.

I had my dip on for a little over 3 years, peeling it off was a nightmare. Some places it was very easy and came off in big chunks, but other places it was a real PITA, especially the hood, I just said F it and took a pressure washer and went down to the bare metal. Wrap was my next thing, I suggest you do it yourself, Avery SW900 line is the way to go, don't need a heat gun to apply.
Rack is just a gobi stealth. I'm known in these neck of the woods for having the sticker bombed racks
This is exactly what i am looking to do. did you take the bumper/grill/mirrors off to plasti dip or just tape and cover? Did you do the actual grill mesh or just the solid pieces?

I got it painted by Greer Automotive Services in Georgia. I'll PM about prices. It was complicated.

I have a black TRD Pro. Wanting to pastidip the 4Runner and Toyota emblem on the back. I see there are blackout kits for sale online. Is that the way to go or just plastidip? Seems the plastidip would be way cheaper?!

The edges tend to be uneven due to the plastidip sticking to the tape when you remove it. The edges were only uneven on the front and the part of the fenders that are not attached to the car. The plastidip looks better on fender pieces attached to the car and the mirrors since it adheres to the underside of the pieces.
you can't really straighten them out other than just painting the pieces.

I did some plasti-dipping to my front end one weekend, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. A few months later, It has held up surprisingly well. An important note, It does take some extra scrubbing with a brush to keep clean, especially on the front where bugs always find their way onto it.
