Process of spraying spare tire^^^Liked the way it looked the next morning so i figured hey why not do all 4 of them and my rear bumper and front bumper..THEN i liked the way all of it looked and so i decided to do the tire fenders and i liked that. eventually i'm going to do every single piece of my truck..and if i dont like it..i can always peel it off depending on how many coats i use. Any advice? suggestions?

Clearcoat it immediately!

I have no experience with the stuff, personally, but want to do my wheels just like yours! Any pointers?

The only thing I do know is that I saw a thread earlier about how hard it is to clean plasti-dip when it gets dirty, so someone said that you have to clear coat on top of it to prevent yourself from having an issue with getting the dirt off. Here's hoping that helps.

You have nothing to lose my friend! And everything to gain! It comes right off easily it just depends on two things - the longer you let it dry the easier it comes off. and the amount of coats you put on. if you put 1 or 2 it will not come off so easily i presume but give it 3-4 coats and let it dry for a day or 2 and you'll have nothing to worry about. and yes clear coat it if you want to give it a glossier look and to strengthen it. i always thought enamels would burn through plastic but this is blowing my mind haha. I've never have dealt with the plasti-dip either. I painted my wheels with Rust-Olem bed lining spray. Never have had an issue with it. Two of my friends have done the same thing. Very easy to do!

Hate to say it but yes I have... Right now my left three LED's are not working. I have messed with them a few times and can't figure out what is wrong. I love the look of them though!

Clearcoat rec?

Any chance any of you have a clearcoat you recommend? So, 3-4 coats and a clear coat. What do you recommend for the time gap between coats and then applying the clearcoat?

Rustoleum clear coat will do ya fine! and if you wanna be 100% sure of it i'd wait 30 minutes after each coat. with a fan id give it 20. with a fan in the scorching hot sun id give it 10!
