Plastidipped sport edition wheels.

Hello everyone...i decided to plastidip my wheels since they started peeling off and didnt look good on the blacked out 06 sport edition. Here is the outcome .3 coats on each wheel,no clear coat.thoughts?

While never a fan of black on black vehicles the wheels look good and if you ever get tired of the monotone color it's easy to change up.

I am not a fan of black and black too,i love white color cars but it is what I have and I am trying to make it look as well as possible.It looks much better with stock color wheels in my opinion.

I think it looks great - I did similar to our family truckster Suburban (that was dark grey) and it looks mean. I like the Darth Vader look.

I think the PD was applied well. I dont see any imperfections from the pictures.

What does the clear coat help accomplish, just a more of a high-gloss finish? The matte color is nice too, I would take that over shiny black if its a wheel.

I am not a fan of black and black too,i love white color cars but it is what I have and I am trying to make it look as well as possible.It looks much better with stock color wheels in my opinion.

Gunmetal (anthracite) or a dark bronze go well with black but I agree your work does look better than stock.

I'd like to do something similar to my Sport rims too and yours look outstanding. Unfortunately, the temps at my place is not going to hit 60º for another six weeks or so.

I guess the biggest attraction to using PD vs the usual Duplicolor spray paint is the ability to remove the PD? Otherwise, both paint application processes are the same I'm guessing?

Nice application. I applied PD to my tires a tear ago and still are holding up strong. Even through the winter. The front grill is starting to peel though. Surprised that the grill is peeling first

I can't remove the step because my wife sometimes drives the car and she is 5.5 and has to put a baby in a car seats she cannot reach for a belt on a car seat without stepping on step))))struggles of shorties.

yes, the same.But id use PD over paint because its easier to fix if you get a scratch or it will start peeling off .

I don't know if anthracite would be dark enough with grey but it the dyc anthracite is an awesome color. Maybe if you did the lip in black and the spokes in anthracite?
