What else would you like the 4Runner platinum to have? A bigger JBL sub? Screens behind all the seat headrests? Darker privacy windows? A copilot?
Just get a house with the Platinum trim window shades and superior entertainment system instead, both can be lived I'm comfortably. All the luxury features seem nice, but not necessary, just my opinion.

I have to say, [MENTION=110036]Neauxla[/MENTION] has a point. We drove the Platinum Sequoia and there were a few thing (not bling) that I would like in a 4runner.
1.The sun shades that pull up from the bottom on the rear windows
2. Heater and Cooled front and rear seats
3. Heater mirrors
4. I Would LOVE the interior of the 1794

This. The prices aren't that far off. I compared both back to back at roughly the same price for a low mile used GX vs new 4runner. The GX has much better head room. Some nicer features and a v8, but it also has almost 1000lbs more weight, and feels like a slug. If it went on a diet, I'd be all about the GX. The huge missing tech item is smart key on the trail edition. It's standard issue on 95% of new cars and probably 99.9% of vehicles over $30k. Every $40k SUV should include it as standard.
2 - 2014+ Limited already has heated/vented front seats, not rear though for either AFAIK.
3 - I know my 2013 Limited already has the heated mirrors standard, so I'm assuming it's a Limited trim feature on all 5th gens. Actually, looks like at least 2015 MY this is standard according to the Toyota site.
First of all, I currently have a Platinum Tundra and a Limited 4 Runner. I also used to have a Platinum Sequoia.
1) Those were nice for the kids.
2) Limited 4 Runner has heated and cooled seats
3) Limited 4 Runner has those
4) Personal Opinion.
For the 2014 models the LIMITED 4 runner has more options than the Platinum Tundra. The Sequoia used to have way more, but it's also priced quite a bit higher.
Aspects of Limited 4 Runner > Platinum Tundra:
- Better sound system hands down. It might just be the acoustics of the SUV body, but between the two it's not even comparable.
- Better stock headlights. The H4 crap put into the Tundra's were terrible I had to do a retrofit as I couldn't see at night.
- Tundra's don't have the advanced key
- The dash display (between tach and speedo) is awful in the tundra.
Overall I prefer my truck now but it took some work. The platinum badge on the Tundra's is useless.
If I liked the looks of the Lexus exterior I might have gone that route. I don't. I also don't like how Lexus got rid of the roll down rear window nor do I want an air suspension.
I just want more luxury in my car. :bluejump:
Your 2010 TEP doesn't have heated Mirror. My Canadian 2010 TE have those. My GF car have heated seats and it's a nice feature.
As far as the 1794 interior, I got to sit in it at the NY Autoshow, the seats are nice and well made, but it's too much for me. But it's fit well in that Tundra.

That's fine, but if you have some time there are a few gx460 builds on expedition portal and Ih8mud that might change your mind.
