i would go slower and enjoy the crawl!!
you NEED a exit plate or your tailgate will get messed up.
other then that it looks good you may want to look into quick disconnect sway bar links they will help the front travel and tilt

Ok ya but I don't have any swaybars, should I? The rear has the stock tow reciever i chopped and raised 6in but doesn't protect the quarters, youre right i still need to build something there... I need lower gears if i go too slow the 4:10 are bogging a little with the 35's...

wow i thought by the front axle travel you did have one, guess you got some stiff springs then my bad.

i have a sway bar on my 85 solid axle just for around the town it makes the body roll better for mall crawling. i have 4 shocks on my rear axle 2 for up and down and 2 for forward and back. on the front axle i have just a frame mounted sway bar the has quick disconnect and stow away.

My SAS'd 2nd Gen doesn't have a swaybar, and it's basically a personal choice, not a necessity. You can't drive like Mario Andretti on the streets without one, but you also don't have to worry about it when you get to the trails, either. I just remember to drive casual (LOL). As for the gearing, even my 5.29's will bog when I bump up against obstacles. The best route to go for that is to change the gearing in the T-case Lo-Range--that way it doesn't affect your Hi-range driving, but it's there when you need to crawl it. I plan to drop to 4.7's with one case later this year, and eventually I may add a second case with 2.28's for those really tough crawls.

My springs are TG 5in so I don't know I bought everything used... I have a LOT of body roll just driving around town on the street, maybe because the Lincoln locked rear diff?? I'm looking for another 4:56 to match my ifs rear... Overall I'm pretty amazed at the difference from ifs!!! CAN'T WAIT TIL THE SNOW MELTS!!!

Mine's a TG set-up, too, and yes, it sways pretty good around corners! I certainly wouldn't want it in the hands of a teenage driver (can you say rollover!). With the added height, it would be fairly easy to reach in and disconnect a bar if you decided to put one on, so it might be a good idea for you. As for the SAS, it is SWEET! Even if you were running open diffs, the increased articulation would aid traction simply because the tires would be able to follow the terrain so much better--throw in lockers, and it's a whole different ballgame! Enjoy it, friend!
