Please help! Intermittent buzzing after starting.

Every time I start my 4 Runner this buzzing noise starts, it lasts for about 7-10 seconds and stops. Sometimes it starts again for the same period of time but always stops. The sound comes from the gear shifter box. The miles are getting up there at about 210,000. I'm trying to not spend a fortune, any input would be great. Also, anyone know of a good place for various parts in East Tennessee? Any suggestions on paint? Thanks in advance!

Try starting your vehicle while sitting on the passenger side. I am guessing it is coming from behind the glove box or under the dash. Sound is just reflecting. Make sure blower and stereo are off.

Sounds like you are talking about the brake pressure accumulator. It does that. Pop the hood and have someone start the truck. You'll hear it.

My car did exactly what yours is doing, until it got worse and did it all the time at idle. It was the exhaust shield under the driver's side floorboard. Try pressing on the shield when it is doing it and see if it stops.
