Please help, Vibration only while accelerating.

I have a similar driveline related issue. I had my driveshaft checked at a professional place. They rebalance it and put new u-joint. MOOG sucks because it doesn’t have a good tolerance. With that said. That did not fix my issue. Still vibration when you get on the gas and let of the gas.

I’m aiming towards bad rear UCA and LCA bushings. Which allows the axle to up or down depending if your accelerating or decelerating. I think that it changes the angle of the rear u-joint at the pinion and that can cause vibrations. I know my bushings are bad and the axle moves because when parked. I can rock the truck back and forth and see the pinion move !!

Could also be a bad rear axle or axle flange.
 
We've got the same thing.. new rear drive shaft by last owner or dealer.. U-Joints are solid. Unless the shaft wasn't put back on right, that's not the issue. Checked motor mounts, we did swap the front CV shafts as they were both shot..

After reading this, we'll go back and look at U/LCA bushings. It's only in 2nd gear, with RPM's up and down..

I diagnosed mine. It took a lot of force to move the rear pinion flange. Turns out. The crush color sleeve crushed it self more. Which changes the preload on the bearings. Causing vibrations when accelerating or at a certain speed. Solution, new pinion sleeve or solid one.
 
Probable dumb question

So wife took her truck to dealer. They balanced the tires. And guess what didn’t fix it. Was hoping honestly that we could hand them $60 for diagnostics and they’d tell us what’s wrong.

This thing has a new REAR driveshaft. Zero play. Buddy of mine looked at it and could t find anything. Agreed that the DS looked and felt fine. Today I was able to crave our some time and found a missing washers and nut off the transfer case front drive shaft. And there’s a very mild bit of play when you tug at it.

Okay dumb question. Does the front shaft engage at all in 2WD? I wouldn’t think that it did. But it would explain

Also I need a lift or taller jack and stands. And a long 144 box wrench. No way am I breaker those with 8” wrenches and no room to “get on em” under the car.

To those who fixed it by addressing the driveshaft(s) and joints, did anyone have to address the front?

Just like OP, mine is only with throttle (and, only with throttle at/above highway spd). There are a thousand vibration threads and I thank God I found one that matches.

I jacked my front diff wayy up while unsupported, that's when mine started.
 
I needed to front diff to move out of my way (have a diff drop kit). I don't understand a lot about cars as you can tell, and after unbolting the two long bolts, I kept jacking up the diff, instead of letting it droop down. Related to this discussion, I changed my rearmost U joint which made little difference in the vibe, but did make a difference. My DS cv is going bad, maybe from jacking up the diff. Front tires are shot and camber is too positive, which could be sending vibes throughout the DS.

Vibration issues are tough to resolve, there is probably a hundred causes of abnormal vibrations in a car.
