Anyone got one? Advice for best model? I know nothing about them, but we practically live out of our car due to football, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, etc.
Just need something that can hold a few sammiches, few cold beverages. TIA!
I have one of the Coleman electric coolers and it does well for fresh foods. It is the full size one, but I think they have a smaller one too. It will keep the beverages cool, but not cold (I like mine on ice). My only gripe is no automatic timer that will shut it off after a couple hours. I've drained my battery a couple times because I forgot to unplug when leaving the truck for the afternoon. It has an option AC supply, and can also be used to warm foods too. Hope this helps.
I have a 37qt ARB fridge/freezer and it works very well. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Being that you are located in Washington you are in luck as ARB is located in Renton and they allow you to pick it up directly from their warehouse to save on shipping.
They are currently offering 10% off all ARB products, thought it end on October 31st. Give them a call to arrange for pick at ARB to save a bit more. Barb or Steve are both very helpful.
I have a Dometic CF-18 and it is awesome. It will freeze stuff easily even in really hot summer temps. This model has a carry handle like a regular small cooler which is very convenient. I also bought an AC adapter so I can plug it in to mains power if needed.
This summer I did a road trip from Pittsburgh to Yellowstone and back and it was perfect. Doesn't take up much space and I plugged it into mains at the motels I stayed in, so I always had cold beverages and fresh food.
