I purchased another 4Runner back in December. It's a 2000 Limited 4x4 with 158,000 miles. It is not used as a daily driver. I park it at my neighbors race shop. If I take the key out and lock the doors and leave it parked for 4 or 5 days, when I go to start it, it does not want to go forward...it act like the emergency brake is on or a brake caliper is stuck.
Now, if i leave it parked in the same garage with the key left in the ignition for 4 or 5 days, it will start and drive perfectly. I will admit that I am a perfectionist and this is driving me crazy. Is there a factory fuse that can be pulled to disarm the security system? Any other items to investigate, I am stumped.
My security system is not the one with the red button.
Thanks,
