This definitely sounds crazy, but it may be a possibility...
My dad is an engineer who has been researching hydrogen fuel cells and is almost ready to test his own hydrogen fuel cell on his Chevy Avalanche. He is not replacing the engine or anything, but just adding a small fuel cell. If everything works like it should "in theory", he will go from about 17 mpg to 40 mpg. If it works, I will be adding this modification to my 4Runner engine.
Has anyone done or heard of this before? There are several videos on youtube about fuel cell additions, but I've never spoke with anyone who actually had one.
I will definitely keep everyone updated.
