Post up your skid plate colors

My T4R is black and I am wondering if I should paint my plates a different color than black.

Let me hear your opinions and post up your painted plates!!

I personally dislike the colorful skids. Silver or black all the way IMO. Mine are silver.



I might black out the SW skid though.

I'm thinking something not soooo bright, but maybe a burnt orange or a slightly dark blue or green. If I go too dark they will look black most of the time with all the mud that's usually on it.

Are yours painted grey/silver? Yes there needs to be a transition from bumper to skids somehow. My longterm plan is a shrockworks front bumper. If I went with a grey or gun-metal I could have a grey or gunmetal bumper against a black truck.

Yes mine are body matched silver (rustoleum hammered silver, very nice match - same stuff i used on my sliders)

It only did it for a little while, I've noticed for a while that it no longer resizes big pictures.

I painted them gun metal to match my wheels a while back, but I miss the red. Just haven't had time to switch em back. The grey skid doesn't stand out but here's a picture.

I dig the red skids on the white, plus you can leave sinister red marks on the trail if you use the skids haha

when i pull my skid to clean it up i will likely be using the same paint.

I love my red skids. I have the front, mid, transfer case, and rear diff bud built skid plates all painted red. LOVE IT!

Mine are Rustoleum's "Hammered Black" which actually turns out more of steel-ish, gray color.

Similar to Zopperman but black 4runner with ARB.
The bottom of the RCI plates are black, facing is silver
