Hail DESTROYED all of my window guards....How do I get the glue off to make a good surface for new ones?

try a plastic putty knife and WD40, that seems to work for me when getting off sticker residue. Or they sell stuff called "Goo Gone" which also works.

I would start with fishing line to "cut" the double sided tape between the visors and door frame. Then follow it up with an adhesive removal product like Goo Gone or Goof Off to remove the residue adhesive. Look for the citris base products rather than solvent base.
