Power Steering Fluid (DexIII) disappearing

Hey Guys,

Did the power steering flush and replaced with ATF. Have been monitoring and adding some every now and then over the last 3 weeks. Crazy whining sound this morning and now my reservoir has barely any fluid. No leaks or disconnects at the top. I only removed the return line from the reservoir when doing the flush. Any ideas? Going to try and find the cause tonight

I'm not sure about yours, but earlier trucks had PPS to raise the idle when the steering bogged down. It had 2 vacuum hoses connected to a vacuum valve on the PS pump. The diaphragm would develop a pin hole and fluid would get sucked into the engine.
