Power locks keep locking themselves when it rains

99 sr5, power locks, no keyless entry. Whenever it rains/snows or I wash the rig the locks start acting up. They continuously attempt to lock themselves, non-stop, constantly. It is getting really annoying. I assume it is some kind of short and moisture is getting to it somehow, because it ONLY happens when it rains/snows/gets wet. It's frustrating as hell. Does anyone have a fix for this or is there any way to disconnect the power locks all together? I'm concerned about it ruining my brand new battery. And it was doing this before the new battery as well.

I had an f150 that did that turns out it was a leaky winshield. Water was leaking down on bcm....look for water under the dash

Like stated before sounds like a short and or water is getting on something. Without having vehicle it will be hard for us to pin point your issue.

Yeah, this will be a PIA to chase down. I'd get out there with a hose, and wet it down SLOWLY going from front to back and try to pinpoint the area where the water causes the short. That might give you a clue. Body ECU by driver's knee is a good guess, especially if it is associated with the windshield, but it's just a guess.

If you power down the locks, you will also lose windows and sunroof. There is also no single plug you can pull that won't also kill the windows. I don't see any way to do it without cutting wires.

ColoradoMTNlivin, did you figure this one out? Mine just started doing the same thing. Got the truck washed last night and also drove in some slush today.

Just parked the truck in the garage and when I went back out some time later I could hear the locks actuating (just locking, not unlocking). Going to check the body ECU on the driver's side to see if there's any water in there. Took the battery out of the aftermarket remote with no change.
