Power outlet

I know this has been covered before, but I didn't have any luck finding it in a search. How do you set up the power outlets to have power when the vehicle is turned off?

Thanks

The only thread I know about on this subject was for a 4th gen. Do a search in Audio and Electronics. The thread was by Kmvreter so you could just search by that name. It should work for third gens as well. Good luck!

If you find out , please post it. I would like to do the same. I even thought about running strait off the battery...with a fuse

Thanks Fishrunner, thats the one. And thanks to the others who replied. That is so obvious once I see it. I know how relays work, I guess I should have figured that one out myself.

yep, thats the ticket. I asume it will work on a 2001. Thanks for the info. Just proves what Ive been saying,4Runner owners are the greatest

I did the mod this morning before leaving for work in my nice clothes, it was that easy. Soldered it too. I am going to use the relay on my '65 chevy for the headlights. I have gotten so used to the headlights turning off with the ignition that I will set up that truck to do the same thing. Always nice to kill two birds with one stone.
