Power steering pump

Hey there homies. My power steering pump started leaking really bad. about a quart a week. I bought a rebuild kit for it but I have never done it. Does and one have a thread about it or any tips? anything would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty straight forward - just pay attention to the direction of the vanes. They have one side concave and the other convex. You might take the opportunity to cap off the idle up valve to simplify things while you have the pump out.

The author says something about 7 hours but that seems really excessive to me.

Thanks for the thread. I am going to do it this weekend so ill let you know how it goes and if it really takes that long.

so I did it this weekend and it was just as the build up explained. Didn't take 7 hours though took me about 5. Started at 9am and finished at 2pm. It made a huge difference. the steering is light as a feather and feels brand new again, and no whine.
