Pre 2005 rear bumper on a 2008 possible?

Hey guys,

About to pickup an eBay aftermarket painted rear bumper cover - my 2008's rear bumper is dinged up and scratched. Something like this (although I'd get one that is made for the tow-hitch):

It got me thinking - I like the look of the pre-2005 4th gen rear bumpers better. I am assuming the answer is no - but does the pre-2005 rear bumper just bolt on to a 2008? Can I buy the older model?

It won't fit, the 2008s are wider. The fender flares are almost an inch wider. The bumpers overseas will apparently fit, but not the ones in the States.

what he said. i know getting the part number is possible but getting the bumper here in the us might be a bit hard
