just and fyi you will lose your radio antenna if you do that. but if you have sat radio then who cares:snacker::cheers:

I didn't think about that. Damn it! I may go with the ARB or airflow snorkel then. Why can't they just make an affordable snorkel.

ill be doing the ARB as soon as my back pay from the Army gets here, along with the ARB bumper and a few other things... you get what you pay for man or you get what you put into it(if you can do all the custom fab work)

I'll probably go wit the ARB and then do the cyclone pre cleaner. I was really interested in the Airflow snorkel but they are now priced higher then ARB and then you still have shipping from Australia.

do you guys really need a snorkel? And the ARB Safari Snorkel is affordable, it's only around $300 bucks. You goons easily spend $800 on tires plus more on wheels. Just keep you're oem air system and put that money towards something else that you're actually gonna use. $300 can pay for a lot of functional upgrades. Just my .02 They usually don't put malls next to creeks and river crossings, just sayin... :D

actually yes, i have actually needed one before, i have swamped my 1985 Toyota pickup more than a few times(never bad enough to do any motor damage, but enough to kill the motor). Ive had water up to the windshield before...

you will not lose your antenna you will just have to turn the bracket around inside your fender. did this a while back. it comes with a template so you know where to cut

Wrong-

Look at the original post, you will lose your antenna with that set up. the snorkel comes up out of the fender right where the antenna was. if you install the ARB snorkel you will be able to retain your antenna(as long as you do the Taco whip mod).

haha i was wondering when i could finally share an innovative snorkel idea, i saw this the other day on campus thought yall might get a kick out of it

here is your cheap and affordable snorkel!

You know, if you just plumbed that into the wheel well, you wouldn't have to cut a hole in your fender.

And that is the worst mount job I have ever seem. he just bent a piece of metal!
