Price for a scoop hood

I'm wondering what is a good price for a OEM scoop hood. There is someone selling a silver one here in town and apparently some "gnarly" off road bumpers. I'm thinking of getting it and saving it or just selling it someone on the site. I'm waiting for pictures of the bumpers.

With that said, I picked up my hood for a little over $100, from a auto parts warehouse over in sacramento. I paid oem for the inserts and stuff.

I'd say so, if it comes with the inserts and everything. Keep in mind if it isn't oem the body shop will need to make some alterations to the hood since they usually don't fit perfectly. When are you gonna get a 3rd gen:naughty:

I'm working on it. I just got a new job, so I'm bringing in some extra money right now. I also have a new baby, so I'm putting out some extra money. I'm banking on christmas bonuses and selling some random things I don't need anymore. My garage is slowly looking like a 3rd gen parts yard. I have my tundra struts, LC 7 wraps, Toytec 1/2 spacer, diff drop, 1" body lift and a set of 5 stars. It is torture.
I either need to get a loan or borrow from my parents some money so i can get a 3rd gen and then sell my 2nd gen, because I don't have the cash upfront. I would say by the end of January the latest, but I'm hoping by the New Year.
This sport hood and bumpers might make it on the 3rd gen or provide some extra cash If I can get them cheap enough and sell them. The hood also comes with a grille and tail lights, which I think is a great deal as long as the grille and tail lights are the 99+.

for that price though already painted and with parts I'd be saving alot I have a friend who can just repaint it black for me, but thanks for the info, that's like my last resort.

Check out car-part.com they have scooped hoods for around 150.

I've been checking out the non OEM hoods with scoops. How bad is the fitment on those? Either way I will have to get mine painted (white T4R) but I don't think I am going to be able to find an OEM here in Denver. I would have to pay for shipping and by the time I do all that is really wouldn't be worth it. Unless somebody in the Denver area they are looking to part with .

I used Car-Parts.com for the scoop. After calling almost all of them I finally found a yard that would send me just the scoop and hardware. I would have bought the entire hood but I couldn't locate one in my color plus the shipping was outrageous to my side of town. Unfortunately no one had one close by otherwise it would have saved me $100+ easily. Gets here tmmw.

I noticed in another thread there was an online parts dealer selling the scoop as a complete kit for around $100 + freight ? These are just the parts you need to fill the hole in the sport hood.

Best bet. Find one complete or prepare to pay.

Ok well I got the hood. It is from an 01 and it has some scratches and little pits, but I'm planning painting it anyways. I also got a grille, tail lights and Hella horns. Best part about it is I got everything for $100. He just wanted it out of his garage. I will get pics up later after dinner.

Yeah I know. I think it should be happening soon. Waiting on some Christmas money.

Yeah tell me about it. I have a set of 5 stars as well, just in case I get one without them. I keep trying to save, but these great deals just pop up right in my backyard and I can't pass up.
