So I have an appointment to get my Daystar Lift Kit installed since I don't trust myself to do it. I got the 2.5/1.5" kit. Going to Steve's Jeep Country since they seem to have lot of experience with suspension and such. They quoted me $400 labor + $75 for alignment, does this sound steep? Should I be looking elsewhere or does this sound like a sound price. When calling around I was surprised at how many shops don't do suspension stuff.

That seems to be similar to other quotes I've seen. However, that is very high imo. Its at most 4 hour job, so figure that's $100 an hour. To me, it's not worth paying several times the cost of the kit for the install. If it's the new easy install kit, I could do that with a jack and hand tools in less than three hours (granted there's no rust, dealing with that is the hardest part of the install). If you have basic hand tools and some time, you can do the install yourself and save the $400. It's not difficult at all, I did my first one without any prior experience, just needed a place to work, basic tools, and an extra set of hands occasionally.

4 wheel parts quoted me at 350 plus 120 for wheel alignment, other place charge around the 300 area, so I think it isn't that bad but when I mention that I had the XREAS system, 4 wheel parts wouldn't do the installation.
Is there an easy way to tell if I have the XREAS system? Got a 07 4Runner SR5 V6
