Price your rig

so, I'm sure we all love our 4runners and would never sell them, but everything has a price.

First; what is the minimum $ you would take for your 4runner

Next; what is the unbiased realistic value of your 4runner?

I wouldn't take less than $10,000 for mine, but realistically it is probably only worth $3-5k, I payed $2300 for it as you see it in this pic.

Priceless. Been paid for for a long time, plan on sending it with one of the kids in 12 years when they depart my home...

Lol.. you paid 2300 and wouldn't sell it for less than 4 times that amount?

Did you dip it in Gold after you bought it?

I paid 4500$ for mine 2 years ago. I put about 3K into it. I'd probably take $4000-4500 for it if somebody offered. I could surely easily sell it for $3500
(All CAD currency btw)

I just couldn't ever sell mine... I have WAY too much into it and I would lose so much money if I even tried.

$6000 minimum.

I got $4650 in initial purchase price and probably another $1200+ accumulating in repairs, tires, and maintenance and more to go.

I get too attached to vehicles and I'm trying to quit it. If someone wanted to buy the 4runner, that would give me some free cash to put onto another interesting vehicle, like maybe a Land Cruiser or something.

But I don't foresee anyone begging me to let them buy it, it will be around a while. And that's okay, I'm fond of it and haven't even had it a solid 6 months yet.

Realistically, I would sell it for what it would cost to replace it with something better. Most 4R and tacomas in the area fetch a premium, even though most never see off road.

Actually trying to sell my 4th gen and have no idea what to ask. Blue book says one thing, but the market says something else. Tried to price it somewhere in between and have gotten very few bites.

06 SR5 4WD with 106k, no mechanical issues, paint isn't great, all stock. Was asking $13,300.

It would take $20,000 but no one would pay that.
I've had it too long to sell, it's part of the family. When a dog passes away it's heartbreaking & there's no way to bring them back. At least with the 4runner you can keep fixing it.

I do like mine but if some stooge was going to give me $8k for it, then out comes the title. Considering I only paid $12k for it in 05, that would be a good investment.

Now if I had a great backyard to play in such as fellow members Dirtco and JWaldz, then I probably would be buried in it.

My '99 2WD SR5 with 237K, not including the work I've done to it, is probably worth $1500-2K according to KBB, but I wouldn't sell it for less than $10K. Sadly, no one would buy it for that.

My truck is worth more to me than it is worth (to the world)

I saw a '99 Limited 4WD with 199K at a dealer website for $7,500 today - KBB says it's worth $3500. I'd offer $5K for it but I'd miss my sport hood and I don't like leather seats. Plus I'd have to do all the work I just did on my 2WD over again.

I don't know what mine is worth. I just bought Icon cdcv front and rear, and ome 861s for mine. Minor surface rust, maintenance is 95% there I'd say. Just some things I'd like to do to it. I love driving it, I also like my 5th gen....ahhh the decisions. It'd take probably 15-17k to get it out of my hands.

I originally bought mine for 7000 and even though you dont get out what you put in I wouldn't take anything less than 15 to 20k to part with it because of all the time I have into it. Even then it would still take a lot of convincing to even get me thinking about it
