Pricing help on a 1997 4runner?

Hey all, long time lurker and new to the forum, although I thought I registered for another 4runner forum a while back that seems to have disappeared from Google. I'd like some pricing help on my 1997 4runner sr5 4x4.

So KBB value is kind of a joke for these things, so I have nothing to go off of except the similar ones in craigslist which vary wildly. I posted up a feeler on craigslist for $6k and got a lot of emails within hours, so I'm assuming I can get more for it. I put the ad up again and raised the price:

1997 Toyota 4runner SR5 4x4, 169k miles

Does anyone have any recommendations on a fair price for this, and what parts of the country I should advertise it in? Totally willing to travel, even to Hawaii.

$7,500 is pretty high... it also needs new rear springs. I can see the sag. Go back to that $6k if you got good attention on it.

Not worth $7500. Maybe the market is higher is San Diego but that truck gets about $6000 in NJ. It would have to be almost a perfect truck to get $7500. Weird that it's missing the underhood insulation too.

I'd pay $5k for something like that. At $7500 you aren't talking much more money to get into a 4th gen or older GX, just my 2c
