That's OK...you're paying dearly for that service experience! I just want soft drinks and Wifi, which are available at every dealership nowadays. Oil changes jump from $35 at Toyota to over $100 at Lexus for that experience!
You buy a Lexus for the quieter interior, more lux features, etc...but certainly not for the rip-off dealership experience IMHO. Since most Toyotas are reliable, the max time that you spend at a dealership most of the time is 30 min to 1 hour. I don't need a loaner car for that period of time. And yeah, my Toyota dealership does vacuuming and car washings too.That luxury experience was what pissed me off most about owning a Mercedes...paying dearly for something that i don't need.

That luxury experience was what pissed me off most about owning a Mercedes...paying dearly for something that i don't need.
It was not my intent to recommend the Lexus over the Prius solely because of the overall service experience. The primary reason is that Lexus' ride/handling and comfort level is superior. I know this because I own both vehicles and have spent many hours driving both. The Lexus service experience is just icing on the cake and was mentioned as an afterthought. I have only used Lexus for warranty work as they do charge a premium. I am not in the habit of throwing money away, so I have used Toyota service and even private shops for out of pocket expenses. I have owned several Lexus vehicles over the years and each has performed flawlessly. In fact, I sold my LS430 for a 4Runner because my son and I love to hunt and camp and the LS was not cutting it. I looked at the Lexus LX, but liked the ruggedness of the 4Runner. Either choice would be good since after all, we are talking about buying a Toyota product, right?.:thumb3::thumb3:

I have them posted on "My Garage" I own a 2010 Hs250h and a 2008 Prius. Both are loaded up including nav.

HS and CT are totally different animal! The ride is completely different b/w the two. In addition, the 2010-up Prius ride is improved to your 2008 Prius...as is power, noise etc..
Your experience with a "Prius and a Lexus" is probably not related to this discussion since you don't really have experience with the two cars in this discussion other than owning a Toyota and a Lexus.

Good for you! Do you feel better now? I actually did drive a loaner CT after drinking my complimentary expresso... while the HS was in for service. I did not noticed a significant difference. Have you driven both? Are you trying to prove something here? The original post asked for opinions and I chimed in, so why don't you just give it a rest?

Both CT and HS are built on identical platforms. Ride on the CT is slightly firmer, but not "totally different" as you stated. We have two variations of the same theme here. One a sedan and the other a hatchback. Again, I ask you, have you driven both?

Yes. They (HS, CT, and 3rd gen Prius) all share the same platform. By your logic, Prius (3rd gen) should ride the same as CT and HS, right?
CT is closer to 3rd gen Prius than your HS...just look under the hood! CT is a modified Prius...with Yamaha front strut bar and IRS. It was made lower to the ground along with other lowerings to improve handling and sporty feel. This is NOTHING like your HS. Really, do we need to discuss this further? And, no, your 2008 Prius has nothing to do with this discussion because it is on the old platform with different powertrain and design.
Curb appeal? Lexus name may bring more in general, but resale value of both HS and CT don't reflect this curb appeal you speak of.

Whatever... I never said that my Prius had anything to do with this discussion, you did? I Drove both the CT and HS and in my opinion they are similar. What's your hang up? Get a life! Your condescending tone is starting to bore me.

Yes I bought a 13' CT-200h (non F-sport, non-nav) for $30.6k + taxes.
I could have bought a Prius 3 or 4 for < $25k but I was considering the Prius Plus package so it would look cool. That package is $3k so I started to consider the Lexus.
My 06' BMW payments @ 4.2% were $380; this car has payments of $510 but uses far less gas. My insurance is only $70 month + 4Runner vs. $60 with the BMW.
I was going to buy a used one but the December 0.9% financing convinced me to get a 13'.
I added F-Sport SE wheels and tint.
I have been getting 38-41 mpg around town.
So far I love it!

BTW, i just switched over to your tire (Michelin MXM4) for my Prius...love it!! It ain't too good on gas mileage (lost about 3-4 mpgs)...but, the ride is so nice and quiet!! This is the tire that should come on every Prius! I am never going back to the eco tires again!

I've been debating what to do with my 11' Prius pkg V We love the car and gas mileage but for long trips the cabin is small. Specifically the knee area. I can't seem to open my knees wide enough and my shoulder is against the pillar when I'm on the passenger's side. I'm a big n' tall guy. Considering the Maxima or the new Accord plug-in for 2014.

Do you have pics of your Prius? Did you get the TECH package?
I think that the new Accord is fabulous!! I have not testdriven it to see if Honda has (finally!) solved the road noise issue prevalent among Hondas...which has literally prevented me from owning Hondas in the past. If that is solved (via audio cancellation), then i really like it. After driving the Prius with DRCC (radar cruise), i want it on my next car. Surprisingly, the Accord Touring (and Hybrid i think) has this!
I commute quite a long distance...and i love the radar cruise. In addition, the Accord Touring also has LED headlights like my Prius (and yours)...and i love 'em!! Bright white light that never fades with age. (On the Prius, you need to adjust them a little higher to really take advantage of the LED's.)Personally, due to reasons above, i would pick Accord over Camry and Maxima. Camry big flaw right now is the poor IIHS minimal offset crash testing. Accord is great...but my only nitpick is the very average audio system...yeah, it has great specs (for OEM audio), but i was not impress with the package in my old TSX (same system). Camry's JBL is much better. (Hell, even my Prius JBL is better.)
The ONLY car that i would consider along with Accord is the new Toyota Avalon Hybrid, which has the proven hybrid powertrain of Toyota (which i trust more than Honda). In addition, it is bigger (3 kids for me), quiet, superb audio system (flaw in Accord), and comes with optional radar cruise. BUT, it does cost at least $10k more than Accord when optioned out. I guess that i can install some kickass aftermarket audio system in the Accord...but i have never been a big fan of aftermarket stuff (& install errors!).
Anyways...sorry for long post...but, yeah, big fan of Accord.
