Pro Comp vs. Ion Alloys

So I have been saving for a paint job for the past year or so and I'm almost there, knock on wood. And I'm looking to get rims after that. I have been torn between two types of rims for a while now. They both look the same, main differences are price and backspacing. Here are the specs, both would be 15x8

Pro Comp 1069:
Back space: 3.75in
Offset: -19mm
Center caps included, stems and lugs must be purchased separately
Cost: $483.91 from 4WP (shipping added) plus stems and lugs

Ion 171:
Back space: 3.4375in
Offset: -27mm
Center caps, lugs, stems all included.
Cost: $359.80 +$9.95 handling, free shipping from wheels for less

I can't decide which would be best. Please help.
Thanks,
Jhacker

Ion is on left, Pro Comp on right

How much room for backspace do you have now? Lift a front tire to full stuff and check the distance between your upper a-arm and the tire.

I had chrome ion's and they pitted all to hell! I still have them sitting in my shed. After one winter they were toast. Im gonna get em powdercoated and sell them.

Im running stock wheels now so im unsure of the room, ill jack the tire up tomorrow and check

Nate, Were they chrome or polished alloy? These rims say they are polished alloy.

So after looking ion's seem to be china rims and not worth much. I like the look of the 1069's but i kinda want the tires to stick out a bit. The 1069's don't do that. but eagle 158's stick way out. Anybody got any advice? I'm looking for a mt classic 2 type rim. So please any help would be nice.
