Hey all, I posted in the plasticguys bumstops thread but thought I could get a few more responses here without clogging up that thread.
I bought the Durobumps front and rear 3.5 set of bumps. The 3.5 rear set was a breeze. No problems with the install.
Then I moved to the front set. After having jacked up the 4runner, I placed the jack stands on the frame in order to get the fronts suspension droop necessary for the install. That was not the case. After removing the bumpstops on the rear of the front LCA I noticed there was only about two inches of space above the new Durobumps after they were placed on the LCA. That left me just barely enough space to squeeze in a short socket and ratchet in between the Durobumps and their respective contact points.
Long story short, I didn't get much droop on the front suspension and the install was a lot more tedious than what should have been. I watched Timmy's video and he had a ton of space in there to do the install compared to what I was working with. The install is done now but something was not right. Any input would be great if you guys have some ideas as to what I missed. Thanks.
