Problem with new ECGS 3rd Member. Looking for Advice.

I put in my new 3rd last weekend and I am 100 miles into the break-in period.

The new differential whines/groans during deceleration at certain speeds. It's actually louder than the one that I replaced.

When I emailed ECGS they took two days to respond and when they did, they just told me that some differentials whine and it's normal and that I'll get used to it. I was a little shocked by that answer and apparent lack of concern because I've heard such good things about their products and customer service.

I asked them if it will get better after it's broken in and they said that it's unlikely. Per them, some differentials just whine.

What do you think I should do? Are they right? Should I just deal with it or should I press them harder for a replacement? I'm definitely not an expert on differentials but from what research I have done I don't think a whine is normal for a properly setup, brand new differential.

In my experience(lots of re-geared jeeps) some gear sets are louder than others, usually high vs low quality, however an improper set up(regardless of gear quality) will cause gear noise and premature wear. I would wait until the break-in period is over and re-evaluate, at that point I would contact ECGS and discuss any options available to remedy the noise.

Also fwiw any gear whine that can be easily heard while driving is too loud in my opinion.
