For anyone that has already done this, what projector did you use and how much of the reflector needed to be trimmed?

I got the FX-R Stage III kit, and Orbit shrouds.

I sent an email to andrew for the best fit kit for our headlights, I will have more info soon.

Our headlamps are very big. They can accomodate almost any projector. The LS430 is huge and it fit just fine in my housings. All dependent on ability of the installer of course.

If you haven't been over to HIDPlanet and seen the LowBeam Output Comparison thread, check it out. The options are almost unlimited as to which projector fits. Each projector distributes light differently and has pros/cons of each.

They're really good with answering any questions, most have used the e46 extended shroud on fxr but I'm really digging the Gatling shroud.

I'm with you on the Gatling shroud. Not sure if I'm going with the fxr or the mini d2s. I'm guessing that the mini might be an easier install but am wondering if it will be too small for our headlights.

Minis are Definetely an easier install, it's what most tacomas use due to the easy install it looks good on their headlight which are pretty big. I'm thinking of going a step higher and going with the fxr.

Keep in mind the Gatling Gun shroud isn't made to fit the new FX-R projector, so without modifying the shroud you will end up with this
