Projector retrofit snag, high beams not switching back to low

Damn, that is slick dude.

I just like having fogs. It looks better, to me. And I figure if I get some flood pattern LEDs, I can get a wider area up close, even with high beams on. Sadly, I kinda botched the retrofit. At some point between the test alignment and securing it into place, I must have bumped the left projector off of a fairly level plane, and now it's rotated so that the cutoff line angles up on the left side as looking from the driver seat. Not a huge deal, as overall the light output is excellent and visibility is so much better, but it vexes me. That and I didn't mount the projectors deep enough, so if you walk up and look, you can kinda see behind the shrouds :bash:

Definitely not one of the better retrofits around here, but considering everything I'm pleased with it for now. I can probably tweak them some when I have the time off to do so.

Thanks man! I know what you mean about the fogs. I want to rewire mine onto a separate circuit, but I don't want to cut up the original wiring on the Supra either. Wiring kinda scares me too. I don't like messing with it. I've taken my headlights apart twice now to fix some issues with the first time I put them together. It's a learning process. I know what to do now and what not to do, that was my first retrofit as well.

Everything seems to be good with them now though. It probably didn't help that my first retrofit was into some tiny sealed beam headlights that required all kinds of custom stuff and there really wasn't much info on either. Worth it for me in the end though. Maybe one day the 3rd gen will see projectors too.

In order to solve this issue, you just run with the OEM fogs OFF, and your hi-beams work the correct way, right?

You can add some kind of resistor, but didn't mess with that, right?

Yes, when I kept the fogs off, no issues. I've since removed the OEM fogs and added BEAN LED trikes on a separate circuit and use those for fogs, huge improvement. I'm not sure if it needed a resistor or if it is something else, but keeping them off solved the issue.
