Props to LFD Off Road

The guys at LFD Off Road are awesome! I got my Ruggedized cross bars back in April and really enjoy them. I keep set of quick fist on them for my shovel when I off road, use them to carry my kayaks and mount my Rola basket when I need more cargo space. While loading the basket last week I noticed the powder coating on my steel ones was failing on the bottom edges and around the spots where it mounts to the roof rails. I messaged them Friday night about it, sent them a few photos and the assured me they would get back with me Monday. They did and told me they don’t warranty the powder coating, which I totally get! I’m sure it is contracted out to another shop But, they agreed that the powder coating should not be failing that soon, so they sent me a new set and they arrived today! I all ready switched them out. They are the newer design with the slots instead of the holes. I think it’s a great update. I have recommended them every chance I get and now I will go out of my way to continue to do so. I look forward to upgrading to their 7/8 or 3/4 soon and plan on ordering a cargo stop bracket soon. Also I have to try and convince them to ship me a skid plate(their site says it’s for local pick up only). If you haven’t checked out their products please do so.

Awesome.

Ive just come across them last week and like the idea of being able to buy and build up as my needs change. Just sucks that I want a full rack and I can't buy the bars separately cause it's different size vs 7/8. Boo.

They’ll ship skid plates if you ask them. I believe mine was the first order they shipped, and to Alaska.

Should get my crossbars back from powder coat next week. I hope I get to install that weekend as well with a few other parts.

Great company. They have been very helpful and responsive to me regarding my new 3/4 rack.

do you know how much does it weight (skid plate)
thanks

Can’t recall the exact, but I believe they’re close to 60lbs. You can choose between a regular or wide skid (4” wider). You can also choose the color of the powder coat. You just have to talk to them about it. They’re good folks.

Hi! Can you tell me how high the Rola basket sits above the roof when mounted to the LFD crossbars? I need to know if I'll be able to fit in the garage without using the low profile bracket kit (since I just ordered 3 LFD crossbars!). Thanks!

Sorry but I can’t. The Rola has found a new home on my camping trailer.

I really like that LFD 3/4 rack. I’m thinking about this or the Prinsu 3/4. How’s the wind noise? What other 3/4 racks did you consider? Also, do you have a spacer lift? Looks good. Thanks.

Make sure you research prinsu quality control issues after they sold to CBI
