View attachment 618292008. Just placed a deposit. Flying to Texas next Wednesday to drive back to San Diego. Been looking for a year. Wanted Shadow Mica but pulled the trigger on this one. Had everything else I wanted. Charcoal leather to boot and get this....heated seats! Found it at a Buick Dealership. Retail is 26K, private party excellent is 23K and trade in excellent is 21K. They had it on Ebay reserve was 23K. Got it for 21K! And no more shifting!!!:reddance:

Needless to mention...my ’99 w/140K is up for sale.

Congrats! I have that same leather on my seats. It is aftermarket leather installed by Gulf States importer, not Toyota. I'm at 98K miles and the leather is just now starting to wear on the driver's seat.

The V8 is great, especially for off-roading, towing, and driving from Texas to Cali at speeds averaging 90 mph, which I did back in Feb. Just ignore the fuel mileage and you'll love it.

Congrats! Awesome truck you found there. I'm just curious, when you pick it up, can you take some pics of the undercarraige? I'm really curious to see what if any rust is on a 3.5 year old 4Runner from Texas (assuming it's stayed all its life in Texas).

I wish I had bought the V8, however the V6 is not bad.
 
Seems a year was well worth the wait! Congrats on the truck and welcome to the glory of owning the sexiest 4Runner generation! :wink:

Sure I definitely check it out.... One owner. Bought in Austin and all the service records have been done Champion Toyota Scion in Austin. No snow there and its a ways from the coast. But you never know where its been driven.

Thanks...Spoiler from Jason is close to the top but first on the list will be a Nav/iPod unit... any suggestions? :beer:

Not that much difference than V6... I'll just be just cruising at 70 knowing I have the iForce!

It all depends on how you drive it as they say. My ‘99 V6 is some what of a dog for milage as we all know. It uses 1/4 tank to go 50 miles at 70-85 mph... but if I lock the cruise at 70 it only takes an 1/8. Plus I don't drive that much... 3.2 miles to work, hit the market on the way home. Once a week 100 mile round trip to moms avocado ranch. 30 minutes freeway, 15 minutes rugged terrain through Pala Indian reservation. I think I made a wise choice.
I'll be taking over the ranch some day and that all time 4X4 will come in handy on the steep wet grades.

Really, you want to go dark? White was my 3rd choice, shadow mica being the first. What year/features are you looking for?:wow2:
