Proud Truck, Toyota and 99' 4Runner Owner!

First time posting to ANY forum and a first time Toyota/4RUNNER owner. Happy to see there is a large number of 4Runner enthusiasts out there. I recently purchased my first truck, Toyota, 4RUNNER, and loving it! Due to inspiration from my brother and this site. I've had it less than a month, and already made minor but multiple mods. In the past 4 weeks, I've learned quite a bit from this site. By far the most informative and 4Runner specific on the WWW. Looking forward to contributing to the vast information already available on this site... once I gain more knowledge of course.

Here is my 4Runner SR5 as it sits today. My next upgrade will be SAW 2.0 coil overs at the front and OME 906 coils paired with Bilstein 5100's at the rear.

I agree, this forum contains a vast knowledge base. I'd look / ask here before I'd ask a mechanic any day. Seems to be a great bunch of guy's & gal's. :thumb3:

I do have a question regarding lift. I couldn't find a thread that specifically addressed this directly. Since 99' 4Runners are known to have 1" of additional lift over other 3rd gens and since OME906 coils provide 2"'s of lift for a range of 4Runners (96' thru 02'), does that essentially mean my 99", which has the taller coils, will realize an actual lift of 1" over my existing stock lift with the OME906 coils?

Well, I found my answer via a random comment from another thread. The answer, YES. You realize only a 1" lift over stock with a 99' 4RNR with a coil that otherwise will provide 2" of lift with 3rd gen 4RNRs.
