Pulley Noise When Cold?

Ok, I read about this once in a thread in this section and it was only mentioned very briefly. Tried searching and looking through the TSB lists, and haven't found a clear answer, So sorry in advance if this is a repost.

My 03 V8 has a clicking/clattering type noise while cold in the morning. Seems to be coming from the front of the engine, and goes away quickly as the engine warms up. Is there a fix or TSB for this? Service manager says he can't find one (bulletin), but maybe he's missed something......

I had a squeaking noise in the idler pulley and the dealership replaced it. I seem to recall there being a TSB on the idler pulley, but the NTHSA site no longer has TSB text so I can't find it.

The TSB for the serpentine belt and idler pulley was just for the V6, believe me I know, been back to the dealer 5 times for it. And, from what I experienced with mine, the noise got worse as it warmed up.

The noise Northof49 seems to be describing might be the noisy valve problem some with V8s have complained about.

Could be, I just saw the pulleys mentioned somewhere, and it didn't specify V6 or V8. I've also not ruled out that I'm just going nuts and starting to hear shit haha.
