Pushing my buttons

I picked up a center console with 12v outlet, a DAC button, a Diff lock button, and 4 blanks this weekend at a junk yard. I was wanting to use the DAC for my DRL mod button. Right now I'm using an EL Cheapo. On the back of the button it has 4 pins from top to bottom. I'm assuming it is a hot and ground for the on/off and a hot and ground for the indicator light. My question is How can I know which is which? I suppose I could test the one in my console but I wondered if someone might know.

Yeah I can see where to wire it up clearly. I'm wondering which 2 go to on/off and which 2 go to the indicator light. I have a meter so I could check it and I could test mine with the button on. I guess it wouldn't matter theoretically as long as I have one hot and one ground. I confess I have the man flu so I am being lazy. I'll double check it before I install it but thought I'd check here first.

A DAC button that works

Ok so I checked with the meter and the top 2 pins go together and the bottom 2 go together. I crimped the fittings I already had and slid them on the top 2 pins.

On a side note I now have a DAC button that does something. It turns off my DRLs! My other one worked last winter to show me down on a snowy decent this past winter so I'm actually 2 for 2. So here it is my first picture on T4R.org
