Quality Power HO Replacement Alternator Questions

Hi guys/gals! So after 270k miles, my stock original alternator died. My dealer was going to take 5 days to get a new one and for about the same price I decided to buy the quality power upgraded one instead which will also take 5 days to get here.

I believe the stock one puts out 80amps? True or no?
I see the stock fuse for the alternator looks to be 120amps.
The QP HO one I bought is stated to have 150 amps.

Secondly, Do I HAVE to upgrade any wires now that I have the QP one or should I be ok running the stock wires and only replacing the alternator itself. I should've just bought the stock one again and left it stock but I guess I got stupid.

Basically I need some advice on what to do here.

My 1998 limited had a 70amp on it, fwiw.
Yes, your new HO alt is going to need some larger wires and fuses. I would check a wire table for the run, but a wag would be #2 wire and a 250 amp breaker.
