My 3rd gen has a lift and current standing height in the rear (upper shock to bottom shock mount) is 18.5 inches.
I have 4th Gen Bilstein 5100 33-187174 installed. The Compression length is 14.91 inches and Extended length is 23.5 inches (about 9 inches of travel):
The rear axle have about 3.6 inches of up travel before the shock bottoms out (the gap between the bump stop to axle is about 1.5 inches): The down travel is 5 inches before fully extending.
Basically the shock sits right in the middle of its travel length. Is this suitable or should the shock/axle must have more up travel than down travel? or vise versa?
Should there be more gap between the bump stop and axle (mine is at 1.5 inches)?
Thanks for your time!!
