Questions for the OME Shock Gurus?
When I first replaced the suspension on my 4Runner I went with the OME 906 coils and the 60073 (comfort ride) rear shocks. This pairing worked great and rode slightly firmer than stock.
Fast forward a few months an my truck is now starting to become an overweight pig with the addition of the rear bumper and tire carrier. I'm second guessing my decision to go with the light duty rear shocks and wishing I had something firmer.
I plan to keep the 906 coils as they are handling the weight fine but I'd like to replace the shocks with the 60027 or 60028 shocks.
On paper the 60027 shocks should be my choice as they are designed for heavy trucks but after several searches on here and other boards the majority of posts that come up are for sale add from guys removing them for being too stiff?

. I have heard that even the 60028's are quite firm from quite a few people, many say too firm. And the 60027's I imagine are really damn stiff. Sorry I cant be of any real help, but I would guess if you liked the 60073's with no weight, then the 60028's with some extra weight would give you roughly the same ride as before. I hear a lot of guys saying they prefer the ride of the 906/60028 with a couple hundred pounds in the back over stock weight.
