Question for those who have installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5

I have searched the forum and found that many have installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift and the Spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers and gone with all terrain tires 265/70/17 on stock rims. I've attempted to ask for feedback without success.
For those who have this setup-
A) was there any rubbing
B) how did it affect Mpgs if any?
Love the look, wanting to do it with the Nitto Terra Grapplers, but need to know if either of these possibilities will be a problem.
Going on a 2005 Limited 4WD V6

if you can afford it, go straight to a better suspension set up. this is pretty much just for looks, and if you don't want to get rid of xreas.
you lose a bit of ride quality, harder install. gas consumption will go down when you have heavier tires/wheels, nothing to do with lift, afaik. I have the spacers, 17x8 rims, 265/70 duratracs, mpg went down, and have some rubbing on the inner liners

You are going to get different rubbing results from different set ups. For instance, I put 265/70/17's on Sequoia split spoke wheels and it rubbed slightly on the mud flaps when turning, while backing, so I installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 to stop the rubbing and now it rubs way worse. It rubs the same spot on the mud flaps as before it's just MUCH more noticeable but this seems to be unusual as most don't have any rubbing. Mpg will suffer slightly but won't be bad unless you go to a 285 series tire.

That being said don't listen to everyone who says "go straight to a better suspension". You know what you are going to use your truck for. If it's a street queen then there is absolutely no need for a different suspension but if you plan to go off road more than plowing through the occasional mud hole, I would opt for something other than spacers.

Turner I have this setup you talk about. minor rubbing with BF T/A's when backing up. I was going to cut out the offending area in fender well but just live with the rub, its not that bad and the wheel has to be cranked in reverse.

It all depends on the use..

Spacers are great for trucks where the current suspension (maybe oem) is still is great condition (ie low miles - no leaks) and folks are just looking for some lift.

All to often people install them on tired suspension and nothing good comes from that.

Just my 2 worthless cents.
