Question regarding 06 4Runner

I'm looking at getting an 06 4Runner with 138K miles on it.
Its limited edition with V8 and navi etc. Car has 2 minor collisions reported (1 minor 1 very minor).
It looks newer than the 07 that I had.

Question I have is..

At 138K miles, does this car/engine still have plenty of life in it or not?
It has regular service records, however, none of the records state that the belts were changed. Would buying a vehicle with minor damage but in great condition have any issue with future resale value?

Thanks for the reply.
If I were to get it checked out at a body shop and they give me a thumbs up to purchasing it. Would that make things any better?
I've got an appointment to have it checked out at a local mechanic (have known for a while).
I guess the next concern would be if I had to sell it, I might be stuck with a big loss, but if I drove it till it died, it might be worthwhile.

If you were to look at it today, it looks like there is absolutely no damage. the vehicle looks mint.

Deals keep coming so unless you are getting a smoking deal, wait for the next one. It is a buyer's market, to some degree. Don't get sucked in- we make the worst decisions when that happens....trust me- I was awesome at it!!:sobbing:

Haha good one, and you'd be right.
So I am getting the faint impression that the answer is.

Do Not Buy! ! !

Thanks and am glad I joined the forum.

Sent you a PM... with the details

I bought my first 4runner her recently and it had been in a major collision. It's an 06 limited 4x4,heated leather, sunroof, all the bells and whistles. It had 37,000 miles on it. I paid $13,500.00 but I knew I would have to keep it forever because selling it would be almost impossible. So think about if it's something your going to want to keep a long time. I'm never getting rid of mine because I have twin daughters that are 12 now and I know what I'm in for when they turn 16.

This one has had 2 minor collisions.
137K miles
06 limited edition
last one reported was at ~80K miles (so its gone an additional 60k since)
Looks great and drives great, but hearing the others replies made me decide against it.

Compared to the price you got.. for the 37K mile 06, this one is 137K and he wants 15.5K

I would stand my ground on the lower price due to the accidents. Especially if aftermarket parts were used to correct a it lowers the value of the machine.

What were the collisions, and did the airbags pop? If the collisions are showing up on Carfax, I bet the dealer will still have it next year... then again, there's a sucker born every minute.

Collisions were at 14K and 80K miles approximately. One listed as minor other very minor.
No details other than that on the carfax both front side
Only noticeable sign to me of collision was that even with the last collision at 50K miles earlier, shutting front driver door I heard some very minor rattle and checked to find 2 small pieces of window glass on the board below door.
Declined the offer earlier
