Welcome, I am sure it will be great to have a salesman as a member here, I am sure many questions will come up.

Have had my 4Runner (2007 SR5) in the shop at least 4 or 5 times for things since I bought it. I have emailed Toyota and let them know of my displeasure with the vehicle. At waht point does Toyota or the original salesman get involved and try to make the customer happy or does Toyota approve of the OH, WELL thinking of many companies by passing the buck and trying to make chicken salad out of chicken ####. If I could give this 4Runner back and get my Accord I would tomorrow.

Just curious.

I'm close to buying a new 4runner. Your post makes me nervous. So where's the salesman who started this thread?

vehicle problems

unfortunately, this type of situation leaves the salesperson (and the dealership) no way to intervene and assist you. It is in the hands of Toyota Corporate now...

Keep in mind, that your salesperson can really do nothing now and thinking or hoping that they can get you a new 4runner is not going to happen...

Does your situation qualify you under the lemon laws (owners warranty rights notification book)?

got toyota to agree to a Platinum Plus (7 yr - 100,000) bumper to bumper warranty for no charge. My rationale was that if the 4Runner is as good as they say it wouldn't cost them a cent. Apparantly someone agreed. I have it in my glove box and am finally feeling better about my purchase. It never was about the 4Runner - it was poor customer relations that really got me going. If they would have treated me better from the start I would not have gotten Toyota involved. Buy the 4Runner - nothing really "wrong" with the vehicle.
