Quick Detailing Question

Ok, so I just did steps 1-5 the other day:


1. Wash with a good car washing soap. (i.e.Meg's Gold Class or NXT Car Wash)
2. Clay the paint, glass and wheels. (Any brand clay kit and lubricant)
3. Clean with a paint cleaner. (Try Meg's Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner)
4. Polish with a pure polish or glaze. (Try Meg's Deep Crystal Polish)
5. Wax with your choice of carnauba wax or sealant.


To maintain the nice clean look of my truck I should do steps 1-5 twice a year, wash it (step 1 only) once a week or every other week, and use a quick detailer every day or every other day. Does that sound about right? Thanks!

Sounds fantastic. Your Runner looks excellent.

1 thing I would change though. Before you clay, polish, and wax twice a year. Wash the car with a Palmolive dish deterrgent. Only before you clay, polish, wax. This will get all the old wax, dirt, grime, grease off the vehicle.

Then between waxes use a good car washing soap. (i.e.Meg's Gold Class or NXT Car Wash)
