Quick lug nut question

Trying to swap out to black, haven't had time to take wheel off and measure so hoping someone already knows...

The chrome ones are longer but the last few milimeters are not threaded, just space. The short ones are threaded all the way.... and after putting one on they don't seem to bottom out too early (thinking the chrome ones are longer just so its easier to put them in).

Anyways, anyone know if you can use the short ones?

I read somewhere you'd need 5-7 full turns on the nuts for full strength. Probably 7 full turns for something critical like wheels.

Could just buy these black silicone covers. The 19mm fit perfectly and look great. A removal too will need to be purchased separately. Can be found on eBay for $1

Take it to any Les Schwab in your area and they can tell you straight up if they will work, probably without even taking one off your rig. If they say no, I bet they can get you a set that will work for a decent price.
