Quickstrut to Bilstein

Two months ago I Installed Monroe Quickstruts on the front and Monroe Reflex on the rear of my 2005 SR5. The Quick strut comes with new springs and actually lifted the front end about 1". This brought the front up to about 1" lower to the rear height. The problem is the struts have a very slow response at highway speeds and seems unsafe when hitting dips on the interstate.
I am thinking I should go with Bilstein's on the front to correct this problem. Would using the .85 slot be a good setting or should I use the stock setting because of the extra spring lift (if the spring actually caused the lift)?
I also have new Raybestos rear springs I could install if necessary?
Forgot to mention I just had new MS/2's installed

Got a quote from my mechanic ($250.00) for labor only to install the new Bilstein's in the front. Does this seem fair?

A good mechanic should be able to do the front shocks in about 2 hours. The going rate here is $80 per hour. So I think less than $200 would be fair. But if he runs into any issues on your particular vehicle, then $250 is easily attainable.

If you have no lift in the rear at all, just new shocks, then I'd go with the setting that is second from the top. I think that is .85" yes. Should look good that way.

Thanks, I thought it sounded a little high since the quick struts have all new components and just need the struts changed. He should only need to drop the sway bar to remove and install strut assy.
