Radio trouble

Hi all. I have 2002 T4R Sport Ed. The radio started to give me some problems, its either doesn't turn on at all, or it turns on, but you can't use any of the push controls buttons on it. You can change the volume and diapason manually, but cannot turn it off, cannot switch between tape or FM1-FM2-AM, scan etc.
I wonder is it an easy fix or I shouldn't even bother and just look for a new radio? And antenna for that matter.

I'm assuming it's the original OEM radio but so many possibilities for a 13 year old radio.
Broken solder joints on the switches, intermittent or oxidized connectors on the board, simple loos wires etc etc.
There's no way to tell until you get it out of the truck ant taken apart in which case you may just want to replace it with a new after market unit that has all the latest toys built in.

$20 at a junk yard will get you another factory radio.

or go aftermarket.

I pulled my perfect working order factory AM/FM unit, CD player, and factory amp out of my '97. They are sitting in my basement taking up space. Make me an offer! PM me or email me. Happy to sell it to you, but per the previous posters "$20"... thats def too low for it to be worth the hassle of properly packing it then driving to a fedex/ UPS store to ship it to you
