The past few days, there's been a weird LOUD rattle/squeak when in low RPM.
It only does it when in gear and sitting still with the brakes held, so its's not a wheel/rotation issue.
It seems to do it around 600rpm or less, and seems especially noticeable when in reverse. It squeaks slightly every now and then when in drive, but my drive idle is around 600-650 so it's rare.
No noise when in Park, Neutral, etc, but the idle is higher then, too.
It drives fine, pulls strong, no stutters. No CELs or pending codes, all readiness tests are green.
It's not coming from a drive belt, and it's not coming from any of the heat shields that I can tell; they are all on tight.
It sound like it's coming from the front of the transmission or rear of the engine. I don't think I have a loose nut or bolt rattling around, as I've not lost one while working on this truck yet.
Obviously, the real way to figure this out is to just chock the wheels, parking brake, pop it in reverse and just look around, but before I do that, does anyone have any idea where to start looking, or anything else obvious I may have missed?
