Raw fuel from exhaust

93 3vze 3.0 motor

Replaced valve cover gaskets and hooked up fuel line into wrong port. Got a lot of raw fuel from exhaust. Fixed hose routing problem and vehicle ran fine after about 20 minutes. Now the vehicle runs really rough, won't idle and dies on road test.
I did remove the TPS from the throttle body and think I have installed it correctly but will double check that today.

Any ideas as to what else to check?

O2 sensor? Maybe.
Could the CAT have been damaged that quickly?

Yah, your cat could have clogged up that quickly. Change the O2 first though, they're cheap. Then see if you can get it to a muffler shop, they can meter pressure before and after the cat and see if it's clogged.

Thanks for the info. Will start by replacing the O2 sensors.
Am I right to assume that they could fail quickly under these conditions also?
