I work for the shop that fixed it so I got paid to clean my own truck lol.

Also I got a toy to keep me entertained

Rc4r,

I am glad you got the truck back together. It looks great BTW.

Can you summarize how much it took to fix it.

Start with how much did it cost to buy as a salvage, then how much were the repairs...

Also,

I didn't even know you can buy a single Borla muffler, now I am interested ...

Perhaps the perfect cheap setup could be Borla muffler + Tundra silencer (a must) + nice tip.

I used the factory TRD performance Tundra tip, found it for $72 at the dealer if you are interested.

Thanks :)

Here is the tip I used. It is a factory TRD performance Tundra tip $72.

Pretty much 7400 totaled 1200 for salvage and 4500 for repairs. And I'm dumping my exhaust after the muffler so no tips for me. Idk if ill have room for the silencer

Truck is looking good man!

Wow so the insurance offered you $7600 and you were able to get everything up and running again for ~ $5500 with a salvaged title and some cash to spare.

I think that given the nature of your crash and the young engine you have that this was by far the better option.

BTW, here is a picture of where to weld the Tundra resonance silencer. The "full" Borla system for $1200 would come with a R silencer and the TRD system has one installed as well. You can pic one up for probably $40 at a yard, just make sure it is off of a V8 Tundra.

If you forgo it you will likely suffer excessive drone and hummmmmmmmm while cruising at highway speeds. The silencer allows the exhaust to still ROAR loadly but eliminates the drone.

i may have to look into that silencer thingi. I love my exhaust and all but the drone is almost annoying on a bad day lol

Hopefully ill get a pic and a cod this weekend

looks great, please make a video of ur exhaust at revs bc im considering a new exhaust and im not sure exactly what to go with...thanks

Didn't end up having time to make a vid.

It sounds pretty monstrous though.

Meet up with Josh.bunch and we got my intake in.
Went from 12 mpg to 14 mpg

Truck goes in for regear tomorrow. When I get it back I'll start taking some statistics. 0-40, mpg. Stuff like that.

Monstrous is the correct work. The exhaust sound like t-Rex and a lion having an orgasm simultaneously. Down right filthy.
