Rear door/ Rear cargo light switch

I have a new to me 98 sr5. For the life of me I cannot figure out where or if there is a switch on the rear cargo door that will turn on the rear cargo light. The light will turn on manually with the switch but nothing when the doors are open.

The rear cargo light is controlled by a 3 position switch. The most forward position turns the light on and off manually, the center position is always off and the rear position turns the light on and off as you open and close the hatch. Maybe the switch is bad.
