Weird "Door Ajar" light

Aloha T4R Gang.
I am currently having an issue that I would very much appreciate some input from the group. I searched high and low and couldn't find anything posted here or online. Anyhow, here goes.

My Door Ajar light is continuously on, except for when I turn on my parking/headlights. I turned on my headlights, and tried the pressure switches on each door and they seem to be working fine, they turn off the door ajar light when the parking/headlights are on. I went thru the wiring diagrams, and tried to see what other things are connected to this light on the same branch line, but man, kinda stumped.

Anyone have a similar experience or have ideas on how I can track down the problem?

What else isn't working correctly? Interior light in the main cab when any of the 4 doors are open turn on, and off when all doors closed? Rear cargo interior light working when the hatch is open and turns off when the hatch is closed? Any issue with the rear window, rear hatch lock actuator, any of the passenger door actuators not locking? Could be the wire bundle at the rear hatch or the rear hatch latch mechanism, which has a door sensor. My hatch latch mech failed with a broken wire for the switch, so never got a door ajar light on the dash, but if it shorted, could indicate door ajar maybe. Or the wire bundle has a bunch of wires that pulled apart and shorting. Or the control module in the hatch behind the plastic paneling is having issues.

Ben Dejo. Thank you for the reply! As far as I know it, everything else seems to be working properly. Will do a check later today after working hours and report back.

Does it change if you turn your dome light to 'off'?
Does it change brightness with/without the door open? (check both driver's door and at least one other)

My first thought here is that it could be linking in the gauge cluster somehow - I had an odd one where my turn signals and reverse lights were linked and it was the flex PCB on the back of the gauge cluster.

Charlie, Mahalos for the tip! I cycled thru the on/off/door on the dome light while opening and closing all the doors individually. Started with the drivers door and it turned off the "door ajar" light! Seems to have been resolved and working fine now. However, I'm guessing that the issue will come back at some point. Looks like in the near future, I'll have to take out the gauge cluster and put my balls on it... eyeballs obviously. Thanks again
