rear door speakers not working

2013 SR5 w/ nav, totally stock aside from wheels and canvasback liner.

I noticed this morning that my rear door speakers aren't working. Neither drivers side or passengers side. The four speakers up front all seem to be working and the speakers in the lift gate work. I've tried tried dialing the sound around in the setting and switching the party mode switch on and off. What really sucks is I'm at 36,048 miles.... Any suggestions?

You probably accidentally hit the "Party Mode" button next to your steering wheel on the right. It turns the middle row speakers off and boosts more sound out of the tailgate speakers.

Nevermind, I see you fiddled with the party mode button.

Is there an independent amp for the rear door speakers?

Hi Bootleg,

No, there's not. The rear passenger area speakers share a left and right amp w/the tailgate speakers. Please re-check the party mode button's position and your sound 'settings' at the hu. When the 'Party mode' feature is turned off, the rear passenger area speakers will be wired together 'in series' with the tailgate speakers, so even if the rear door speakers were unplugged, the tailgate speakers would not (could not) work. Just nav or do you have the JBL premium with nav? If just nav, agree 100% with Rigtec. Speakers are in series so my guess is Party Mode switch is at fault. Unlikely the relay(s) are at fault since both left and right don't work. I guess you are always partying.

If you have premium with nav., whole different story. There is a separate 10 channel amp involved. I have 2010 TE with JBL premium. Back door speakers still play with party mode on. Party mode only adds bass boost (and it pretty much sucks).

5th gen rear speakers stopped working.

Hello Everyone

Just sharing that after disconnecting the the battery my rear speakers (middle row) stopped working. Toggling the Party Mode button fixed it.
